Black K.A.R.E. Initiative

 The Shreveport (LA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated has received a Black K.A.R.E. Grant from The Southern Area of the Links, Incorporated in partnership with Baxter Pharmeceuticals.

The primary goal of the Black K.A.R.E. Initiative is to raise awareness of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in the Black communities, with a focus on its risk factors, complications, treatment – and how to reduce the risk of kidney failure and/or improve outcomes for people living with the condition.
